The History of McDaniel Knutson
In 1981, founding partners Wayne and Jude McDaniel set out to build an independent, client-sensitive, community-minded, financial-planning firm. Together, they created an edge with advanced technology, education, and by personally managing client assets with a high degree of integrity and responsiveness.
Peter Knutson joined the company in 2001 and became a partner in 2005. We expanded again in 2012 when Victoria Bogner became a partner after being with the company since 2005. Collectively, our advisors have 125 years of financial experience. In 2010, we changed our name from McDaniel & McDaniel Financial Services to McDaniel Knutson Financial Partners to better reflect our mission.
From the beginning, we strove to be proactive in addressing client needs. By obtaining two private letter rulings from the Kansas Department of Revenue regarding retirement-plan taxation, we established ourselves as a knowledgeable resource on the University of Kansas campus understanding the complexity of the university retirement plans. In fact, we were one of the first firms to offer personalized, active asset management on the university's retirement accounts.
We believed in tactical asset allocation in the 1990s -- long before it became fashionable in the 2000s. Today, our active money management is utilized by clients nationwide. We have been and continue to be forward-looking in our planning and strategies.
With the growth in the number of clients we serve, we've expanded our awesome staff. We reaffirm our mission and values annually to ensure we maintain the integrity of the firm.
Today, McDaniel Knutson Financial Partners advise over 750 clients with over $250 million in assets.
